We are in New Port, a worrying example of overcrowded and uncontrolled urban planning development, suffocated by the pollution of unregulated technological development. In a desperate attempt to stop the embarrassing wave of criminality and urban terrorism which is sweeping the city, the government has set up a special task force, the Tank Police, equipped with the weapons necessary to fight the super-technological criminal activity. Squad leader Leona Ozaki, together with her highly personalized armored tank Bonaparte, fights alongside her police buddies to wipe out crime.
The renowned Masamune Shirow (Appleseed, Ghost in the Shell) supervised the work on this series to ensure that the atmosphere remained faithful to that of the manga of the same name, published by him in 1992.
